Neil has more than 25 years’ experience of identifying and resolving complex accounting issues, both inside Big 4 firms and as an independent consultant and troubleshooter. Neil has extensive transaction experience, having played key roles in preparing companies for IPOs, performing financial due diligence on acquisitions, integrating acquired companies, as well as managing vendor due diligence.

Neil combines high technical expertise with hands-on implementation experience, having successfully led global transition projects for groups converting to IFRS or adopting complex new IFRS and US GAAP standards on revenue recognition and leasing.

Neil’s experience spans a wide variety of industry sectors and wide range of international business cultures and regulatory regimes. He has detailed knowledge and understanding of IFRS, US GAAP and UK GAAP, as well as local statutory and tax reporting requirements in many European jurisdictions. He has advanced excel modelling skills and has experience of major ERP systems including Oracle and SAP.

Neil was educated at the London School of Economics (First Class Honours) and Manchester Business School (MBA) and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Neil provides technical leadership on all the firm’s projects and also serves as the firm’s Money Laundering Reporting Officer (“MLRO”).

Jane was a founder shareholder and director of Ellis FR and is responsible for administration and marketing within the business. Jane also fulfils the roles of Company Secretary and Data Protection Officer, as well as providing administrative support on many client projects. Prior to founding Ellis FR, Jane was executive assistant to a senior director in the UK Civil Service.
